This unique hand-carved wooden Siamese cat is in a sleeping pose. These all original pieces are carved from rosewood by Northern Thai artisans in a rural village south of Chiang Mai.
Siamese cats are distinctly recognized as a Southeast Asia breed renowned for their affectionate, social nature. In Thai and Chinese custom the siamese cat is considered lucky.
